Pre-purchase Exam
While there are many factors considered during the sale of a horse, none is more important than evaluating the health of the animal. Your trainer and friends may offer their expert opinion regarding ability and disposition, but a veterinarian is essential to determine if there are circumstances which may preclude the horse from performing its anticipated purpose at the present time and to provide insight to early disease, previous injuries or pre-existing abnormalities which may limit the use of the horse in the future.
Whether you are a buyer or a seller, Equine Performance Veterinary Solutions offers a comprehensive package of services to suit your needs and your budget.
Pre-Sale Radiographs
EPVP can represent the seller and provide a complete set of pre-sale radiographs of your horse prior to advertising the sale. This can not only offer a benefit to entice potential buyers, but it can also provide the seller with advance knowledge of any abnormality which would likely be considered during the buyer’s evaluation.
Radiographs include:
- Hooves
- Hocks
- Stifles (3 views)
- Fetlocks
- Knees
