Preventive care

Our preventive care includes vaccinations, deworming, fecal testing, and twice-yearly dental examinations, tailored to your horse. Routine examinations and sheath cleaning can be included in this care.

In-house laboratory testing

CBC, chemistry, SAA, ACTH, and insulin testing are performed in-house using EPVP’s own machines. These tests help evaluate illness, inflammation, and metabolic or endocrine concerns. Discuss the route and timing for any additional testing with the office.

Gastroscopy

Our 3-meter gastroscope allows examination of the stomach lining for possible gastric ulcers. Typically, horses are held off feed for 12–18 hours and off water for the final 3–4 hours before the procedure. The office will provide your horse’s specific timing when the appointment is confirmed; follow those instructions.

Respiratory evaluation

An upper respiratory scope helps assess laryngeal function and look for evidence of airway inflammation.

Travel & competition

Ask about Coggins testing, health certificates, identification, microchips, and competition documentation. Traveling or showing? Call us and we'll help you get the right paperwork.
