Dr. Katie Sullivan

Dr. Katie Sullivan brings a lifelong passion for horses and more than a decade of experience in the equine industry to her work at Equine Performance Veterinary Practice. Originally from Massachusetts, she began riding at age nine and explored several disciplines before finding her passion in eventing. Much of her riding experience centered on off-the-track Thoroughbreds.

Before veterinary school, Katie worked as an equine veterinary technician. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Auburn University in Alabama. She moved to Florida to be closer to family and has spent the past four years practicing at EPVP.

Katie's greatest professional interests are lameness and sports medicine, and she pursues continuing education in lameness each year. She also leads the practice's equine dentistry services and provides emergency care. Her experience as both a rider and a veterinarian shapes her approach to helping horses stay comfortable, sound, and active.
