Lysmari Figueroa Torres

My name is Lysmari Figueroa Torres, and I am originally from Puerto Rico. I attended the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Agronomy.

I currently work as a veterinary technician and have over 10 years of experience working with horses. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for equine medicine, animal welfare, and providing compassionate care. I enjoy being part of a team dedicated to improving equine health and ensuring that every horse receives the best possible care. I am also committed to continuously learning and expanding my knowledge in the field of equine veterinary medicine.

My love for horses extends beyond my profession. I am the proud owner of a Paso Fino horse named Poly, who has made my connection with the equine world even more special.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and playing softball. I also had the privilege of representing Puerto Rico as a member of its National Softball Team, an experience that taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and dedication.

I would describe myself as dedicated, responsible, compassionate, and passionate about what I do. I take pride in my work and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the animals under my care.
